On October 26th, we will open three brand new WONDR pop-ups in Mechelen, Leuven and Hasselt ! But yes, sometimes things don't go as planned... And when we say different, we really mean different. Our furniture? It's damaged! Yes, you read that right: three stores, no furniture. How do you open a store without furniture?! What seemed like a complete disaster at first, was transformed into something WONDR-like thanks to the power of our community and an unexpected collaboration with IKEA!
Together we can make something of it
A week before the planned opening of our three new pop-ups, we were faced with a huge challenge. Damaged furniture left us literally empty-handed! But giving up? That’s not our thing. So we called on our amazing community for help. Within hours, the responses started pouring in – from furniture offers to volunteers wanting to help with the interior. The heart of our community really came out.💗
Together with IKEA: a sustainable solution
And then something happened that no one had seen coming: IKEA Belgium got in touch and offered a solution. Because if you don't have any furniture, why not borrow it from the experts, right? With furniture from their Second Chance Corner, we can still furnish our stores. All the furniture we use temporarily in our store will later have a full life in someone's home. 🙌 This way we turned a disaster into an opportunity, without waste. A super sustainable solution that is completely in line with what we stand for at WONDR: zero waste and reuse! ♻️

It might be different than usual, but you are more than welcome at our new pop-ups in Mechelen (Bruul 11), Leuven (Bondgenotenlaan 63) and Hasselt (Hoogstraat 8) . Come by, admire the temporary furniture (thanks, IKEA!), and above all: enjoy the unique, WONDR-like atmosphere. Soon our stores will be back in full glory, but until then, our 'Under-construction' campaign shows that even when things don't go as planned, we always make something unique and creative out of it! And to make the party complete: the first 100 customers will receive a goodie bag at the opening! 🛍
